Privacy
Draft for a lawyer to review. This page is not final and is not in force until counsel publishes it.
This draft describes what Amore Party expects to collect when the service is open. It is not a finished privacy policy.
Account
Signup asks for an email, a password, and a date of birth. The date of birth is used to keep the service for adults 18 and over. A profile adds a display name, city, photos, and the preferences you choose to answer.
Location
Use my location is optional and asked once. If you choose it, the website uses the browser, and the apps use device location only while the apps are switched on. One reading is taken when you open Amore Party. It is rounded to about a kilometre and stored as that coarse point only, then replaced the next time you open the app. It is not a history. Other members see an approximate distance such as “about 5 km away”, never under a kilometre and never an exact point. A small shift is added so that distance cannot be used to pinpoint you. If you decline, Discover uses the city you chose. Settings can turn this off, and that deletes the stored point.
Payments
Card numbers are handled by the payment provider. The service stores a customer id, a payment-method id, the brand, and the last four digits. Referral checks may store a card fingerprint, which is not the card number.
Parties and messages
Chat messages are stored so the two people in a match can read them. Party video is not recorded. Number sharing is for members. A phone number is shown in chat only after one person shares it, the other pays tokens to reveal it, the number is verified, and they have either chatted for 14 days or met at a party. A number already revealed stays visible to the person who paid. Each match is one exchange. Unmatching or blocking removes it. A mutual tick at a party can also show the contact details you agreed to share.
Live call checks
While this is switched on, a live transcript of a speed date or a 1:1 call is checked for a spoken phone number. We do not keep a recording or the full transcript. If a number is spoken, both people see a warning and the desk receives a flag with a short redacted snippet.
App usage data
When you are signed in we record whether you added Amore Party to your home screen, on which platform (iOS, Android or desktop), when you first did, and when you last opened it from the home screen. We use this only to improve the app and its reminders, and never show it to other members.
Who we write to
Questions about this draft can go to hello@amoreparty.co.uk. A lawyer still needs to name the legal entity, the countries of storage, retention, and the rights that apply in Australia, the European Union, and elsewhere.
European Union
If you are in the European Union, you can ask to access, correct, erase, or export the personal data this draft describes, and you can object to or restrict some processing. Consent for account processing is collected at signup and can be withdrawn by writing to hello@amoreparty.co.uk. A cookie banner lets you refuse optional cookies. This paragraph is a draft for a lawyer.
